What's the weather?

Erin's class was studying the weather this week so instead of the mittens and snowflakes I had planned, I made them weather themed cookies.

Leopard Print Baby Shower Cake

This was for a baby shower this weekend.  And was also my first fully fondant covered cake!  I usually stick with buttercream because I prefer the taste, but to do the leopard print I had to go the fondant route.

I still don't know how to rotate pictures on here,  I am definitely not very tech savy.

Wedding cake

This was for a small wedding a few months ago.  I did it the day we moved everything out of the apartment, hence the terrible, no background pictures.  It's an Italian Cream Cake with Honey Cream Cheese filling.  Can you say yum?!

Frosting for the Cause

I'm really excited to be a part of Frosting for the Cause.  It's a great charity, and such a unique, fun way to contribute.  Head over to their website and check it out.  There are great recipes and stories from bloggers all over.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you cookies and houses for everyone who helped us with our house!  Thank you so much for all your help!  We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now and (hopefully) will be done soon.

Chocolate Cupcakes

I got a new cupcake stand for Christmas, so I put it to good use for our New Year's get together.  I've been dying to make Homemade Hostess cupcakes so I did a chocoholics cupcake tree.   Homemade Hostess (complete with cream filling), PB&C, and Chocolate Cupcakes.  Serve with a gallon of cold milk!  As a side note, I will never be able to make these again, because I think I ate 20 cupcakes myself :)

These were for a Christmas shower a couple weeks ago.  I just love Christmas cookies!
